He belonged to a different race and culture. But how did it matter?

Allah never distinguishes between His people. Her friends’ warnings fell on deaf ears. Her family came to know one day and all hell broke loose. Beaten mercilessly and threatened with dire consequences, she was imprisoned in her own house. After a week, she was able to escape with the help of the house maid. She was on her way to his house dreaming of the happy future. Application for marriage was already filed in the court a month back. As she stepped down from the cab, she was surprised to see a crowd in front of his house. Honour killing had claimed another life.
