Opposite values are complementary. One cannot appreciate happiness unless he has experienced sadness. Day and night…summer and winter..good and bad…hot and cold…life is full of contradictions. This is the ultimate truth of life.
Long, cold winters followed by the spring
Good times will be back, don’t worry darling!
Sometimes pleasure, sometimes pain
Sometimes losses, sometimes gain.
Life is full of ups and downs
With the smiles, there would be some frowns.
Winning and losing is part of the game
How much you try, life will never be the same.
Happiness and sadness are a part of life
Along with celebrations, there will be strife.
Don’t you worry, keep your smile
Held your head high and perk up your style.

Another bulls eye from your quiver Shaloo. I completely agree with you. Like darkness and light, all the opposites play their role at different times in our lives. Learning to accept it and grow is true evolution!
True. Resistance will only bring misery. We have to accept all the positives and the negatives in order to move ahead and grow.
Lovely rhyme explicating the absolute verity of life!
If only we can keep our heads bend down in modesty during the highs and heads held high with eternal hope during the lows, can we become the master of the contradictions in our life.
Thanks dear! You are right. Humility, hope and confidence with an absolute faith in divine can help us sail through any storm.
Beautiful composition. Contrasts bring out the true beauty in life.
Thank you!
Well penned down!! Opposite feelings go parallel hand in hand . It gives you the importance of things you receive and loose!!
Thank you! Losing definitely makes us appreciate the victory.
Beautifully written reality of life
Thanks ?
The ‘Truth of Life’, how beautifully put, Shaloo! I couldn’t agree more ? One has to accept it as the way of Life. The more we try to run away from it, more the mess!
Right. Whatever you resist, persists.
The opposites maintain the balance. You’ve portrayed it wonderfully in the poem, Shaloo… ?
Thanks! Opposite values though seem like opposite but are actually complementary to each other.
