Year End Musings & Top Posts of 2018

My heartiest thanks to each of you for making 2018 such an enjoyable year of blogging! It was my second. This blog continues to grow because of the support and encouragement from readers like you- thank you for helping me stay motivated.

2018 was special for me in so many ways. The year was good for me professionally. On personal front too, 2018 was a year of amazing memories. I went for a family vacation during summer after almost after four years. We stayed in a small, quaint, peaceful village near Dehradun for a week. We also visited nearby places like Mussoorie, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Sahastradhara etc. The pleasant weather, the quiet mornings, the evening strolls along with my dog among the rustic village added charm to the much-needed break from the monotony of city life. Among my work related travels, I thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Shimla and Kangra.

As far as learning goes, I am working on my tarot skills. So far I have been doing readings through Rider- Waite Deck. Two month Back, I got some new and insightful decks- Angel Tarot Deck by Doreen Virtue, Osho Zen Deck and The Keepers of The Light Oracle Deck. My evenings are now spent studying these amazing decks.

I took up Goodreads challenge for the first time. I read 34 books. My target was 40. Though I couldn’t complete the challenge but it motivated me to read more. I discovered many new authors and enjoyed their works. My reading was diverse and I read from crime fiction to children’s literature to chicklit to mythology. I also wrote book reviews for most of the books that I read which can be found here.

My Top 5 Books from 2018:
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer & Annie Barrows

On blogging front, I was not very regular throughout the year due to work related obligations though I made sure that I publish a few posts every month. I hope to write more in the coming year. In case you missed any, here are the top posts on this blog from 2018.
