Lightening, thunder and gusty rain
As if heaven sent to drown my pain
I wept and sighed my griefs in vain
Through the wintry hail and incessant rain.
Imperishable memories of the past
The dreams of future that couldn’t last
Leave me anguished, motionless and aghast
While tears trickle down thick and fast.
And yet like the rainbow, a gleam of peace
Peeps through solemn clouds and sorrows cease
Unfettered feelings in multitudes increase
Bringing hope, grace and the soul’s release.
Breaking free the shackles, I am ready to fly
With humble benignities and insights wise
Like a phoenix, my enraptured soul rise
Aiming to brave the distant skies.
